Midnight Meat T...
Perfect 5 Points 2008

..Midnight Meat Train signals the return of originality to the horror genre. Based upon the short story of the same name from Clive Barker’s “Books of Blood”, Midnight Meat Train is everything you’d expect from a film with that title…although it also contains one very interesting plotline that…

The Fly
Perfect 10 Points 1986

The Fly is one of those extremely rare 80s horror movies that isn’t a cliche camp-fest. It doesn’t have an ending that drags on, it doesn’t use cliche moments and it’s incredibly inventive and eye-popping. When I started watching the movie I had absolutely no idea what I was in for and when I fin…

Perfect 8 Points 2008

This is a rock opera, yes I said it, OPERA. Believe it or not, the music really ties in the characters and suck you right in. They are catchy, so enjoy it, it’s worth it!

The story is about Nathan and his daughter Shilo. Nathan is a man that raised his daughter on his own since the untimely d…

Ginger Snaps
Perfect 5 Points 2000

When it comes to horror in the early 21st century, John Fawcett’s fierce “Ginger Snaps” might surprisingly stand at the top of the heap – arguably superior to some of the best genre films of recent years, like Greg McLean’s “Wolf Creek” or Alexandre Aja’s “Haute Tension.” In the annals of feminis…

Saw VI
Perfect 10 Points 2009

This is the best of the sequels. The ending isn’t overly ridiclous and it just makes sense. I really don’t know what else to say. The movie is very relevant to today’s events (its about health care). Very good movie.

Fido
Perfect 20 Points 2006

The Robinsons are one of the only families in the neighborhood who don’t own a pet zombie. This is largely because Bill Robinson (Baker) deathly fears them. When he was younger his father turned in to a zombie and he was forced to kill him. Ever since then zombies and his father were subjects t…

Perfect 83 Points 2012

Is there a funnier scary movie? While not laugh-your-guts-out, The Cabin in the Woods is LOL all thru. The comedy just keeps coming and coming. Bloody deaths come too, soon a welcome part of the comedy.

Some reviewers decline to describe the movie. Just go they say. Why not describe i…

Only Lovers Lef...
Perfect 66 Points 2013

Brilliant vampire movie, thy name is Only Lovers Left Alive. Literate, laconic and full of lusciously languorous lassitude, it presents as ageless and au courant. Jim Jarmusch’s undead triumph introduces four vampires, though the V word is never used: Adam & Eve, Kit & Ava. Trust me, they …
