  1. Quality
  2. Good 3.0

Trapped in Paradise is another caper gone bad comedy done in the early 90s. Nicolas Cage plays a man trying to do good in his life, while being surrounded by a temptation to do wrong and take “The easy way out”. After his two brothers (Carvey and Lovitz) are paroled from prison, Cage gets caught up in their plan to rob a sleepy little town in PN. After pulling off the heist, the men can’t seem to leave the town and are continuously running into the kind hearts of the towns members. While moving the story along, it did seem to drag a little at the end of the movie but still giving enough chuckles to warrant at least a renting for this comedy.

  3. Good 3.0

Cage plays… well… Cage in this movie. while he doesn’t have the greatest range as an actor, he does play himself very well and does so in this movie. Lovitz and Carvey playing the two knuckle-head brothers in this are well cast and overall lovable in their roles. The rest of the supporting cast are also good but there is really nothing particularly memorable about their performances.

  4. Male Stars Good 3.0
  5. Female Stars Good 3.0
  6. Female Costars Good 3.0
  7. Male Costars Good 3.0
  8. Good 3.0

This has an early 90s comedy feel of similar movies which shouldn’t be a surprise.

  9. Direction Good 3.0
  10. Play Good 3.0
  11. Music Good 3.0
  12. Visuals Good 3.0
  13. Content
  14. Sordid 3.4

There is obviously and edge to this movie based on its content. Quite a bit of language for a PG13 film but nothing by the way of sex or extreme violence.

  15. Sex Erotic 3.4
  16. Violence Brutal 3.4
  17. Rudeness Profane 3.4
  18. Surreal 2.9

This series of unfortunate events is in no way meant to be a representation of real life occurrences.

  19. Circumstantial Surreal 2.9
  20. Biological Surreal 2.9
  21. Physical Surreal 2.9
