![]() When you think of M. Night Shayamalan many things come to mind- unknowing fear, unbearable silences, and nothing is what it seems. As with all his movies you are looking everywhere for some possible answer to the questions that he puts to his audience. This was no different. I felt I was watching an old Hitchcock film, the genre updated for this century. While it is an R rated movie I think it is one of the most intellectually active ones I have seen in a long time. ![]() Iron Man – a super knight for our ironic age – succeeds wildly because we relate to the oh-so-human hero while laughing at his non-stop comic patter. Marvel mastermind Stan Lee, stylish director Jon Favreau and witty star Robert Downey Jr. deserve hosannas for delivering such a smart and entertaining comik movie. Bring on the sequels! |
