How to Steal a ...
Great 66 Points 1966

How to Steal a Million could just as easily be titled How to Steal a Movielover’s Heart. Audrey Hepburn & Peter O’Toole in their primes, Paris as if in a stylish fantasy, lots of well-earned laughs: it’s a sure thing.

Wiliam Wyler famously directed Princess Audrey in Roman Holiday

Thunderbolt And...
Very Good 66 Points 1974

Thunderbolt And Lightfoot still entertains nearly half a century after it premiered. The star power of Clint Eastwood and a young Jeff Bridges see to that, as does a cockamamy story about Montana bank robbers.

Mostly it’s a first-rate buddy picture, not unlikely buddies but very likely budd…

Reservoir Dogs

Very Good 88 Points 2007

This engrossing and cleverly constructed family/heist picture features a host of great performers in front of the camera and the estimable Sidney Lumet behind it. The movie effectively flashes back and forth in time, showing how a couple of ne’er-do-well brothers ensnare everyone around them in …

Flawless
Good 17 Points 2007

This movie was entertaining and engaging, albeit a bit humdrum for the likes of Micheal Caine and Demi Moore. Caine fits as a loveable but cunning older janitor with a great idea, and Demi plays a professionally passed-over and now disgruntled negotiator at a London Diamond dealer. A fairly simpl…
