Pretty Bad
A marginal airplane movie, this by-the-numbers rom-com lacks charisma, character and comedy. Oh, there’s plenty of supposed laugh lines and even some slapstick. It’s just not funny. Some of the blame falls on Kristen Bell’s charmless leading lady, the rest on the witless team behind the camera.

Great
“What Women Want†gives the audience the romance they want, but this reviewer would’ve appreciated more laughs in the comedy department. Mel Gibson stars as Nick Marshall, a chauvinistic advertising executive who gains a unique characteristic after a freak accident.

All the LOL moments are in the trailers. Still, Ashton and Cameron are likable, hot, self-deprecatingly funny, and have more than a smidgen of chemistry together, so the movie is a bit better than OK.
