Pretty Bad 1.5
I can’t say I had high hopes for this movie. Unfortunately, it not only dashed what hopes I had, but buried them in about 6 feet of bad acting and homophobic remarks.
-
OK 2.5
Granted I did like William H. Macy’s character (the only one who seemed to have any semblance of brain activity), it just felt like they threw the actors into the desert and told them to do their best. John Travolta was over half of the time (I exaggerate not) acting like some kind of distraught, middle aged house wife, which was a bit disconcerting.

Barely OK 2.0
Not a bad looking film, didn’t really require anything special.

Vehemently homophobic for no apparent reason, otherwise very dull.

Risqué 2.3
If four no-so-fit older actors skinny dipping is not something you want to see, I suggest you skip this film. Also, if you watch ‘Scubs’ and would rather not see John C. MicGinley (who plays ‘Perry Cox’ on the sitcom) as a terribly offensive gay stereotype of a highway patrolman, who wants in on a bit of said skinny-dipping action, I suggest you skip this film. You know what, just run away as fast as you can from this film.
-
Sex Titillating 1.6
-
Violence Brutal 2.6
A bar is blown up. Some characters are beaten quite badly in a gang fight.
-
Rudeness Profane 2.6
A lot of poorly done bathroom humour accompanies this film. No, I didn’t know there was such a thing as worse-than-normal bathroom humour either.
-
Fantasy 4.1
The premise itself is plausible. Four middle aged men, sick of their everyday lives, decide to go on a road trip to clear their heads. The events that transpire along the way though, are poorly concieved and unrealistic.
