Perfect 5.0
The Coen brothers are back and create their finest in No Country for Old Men. I say this because you know how hard it is to top Fargo and The Big Lebowski. I loved the movie so much that I saw it twice. You got to go into it without expecting anything. If you don’t know a single detail about this, good. You will be surprised to the point that there will be brown stains on your underwear.

The acting was perfect. Javier Bardem creates the scariest antagonist since Gary Oldman in The Professional. Tommy Lee Jones, as always, does a brilliant job. He fits the role perfectly. 007 has been the year of the Brolin. I never heard of the guy until Rodriguez’s half of the perfectly executed Grindhouse, but now after seeing him in this and another favorite of mine American Gangster, he does a brilliant job and is one of the best actors working in the industry today.

Everything about the production was brilliant. The Coen brothers are known for their camera shots and angles, and its like these guys painted a turd that couldn’t be painted anymore if it tried. There’s certainly a lot of dialouge in No Country for Old Men, which doesn’t disappoint one bit. Remember the dialogue in The Big Lebowski and the accents in Fargo? Yeah, you won’t be disappointed. As for the music… well… there isn’t any, but that’s a good thing. The brothers want you to listen into the sounds that are taking place. The visuals are amazing.

While there is no sex, there is plenty of violence to go around. Javier Bardem hunts his prey with a type of oxygen tank, and you will be shocked to find out that there is a weapon that has never been used before on screen.
