  1. Quality
  2. Really Great 4.5

Translates amazingly into film, this musical is sure to have you laughing all the way through. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are a comedy tour-de-force and there’s nothing to stop them! Uma Thurman also plays in perfectly as the beautiful foreign secretary and wannabe actress. Two producers trying to put on the worst play ever, then cut and run with the investors money (raising the funds by sleeping with all the little old ladies in town, naturally) and with a name for it like “Springtime for Hitler”, where can they go wrong? Everywhere apparently…luckily for us, hilarity ensues ^_~!

  3. Perfect 5.0

Matthew Broderick plays an exceptionally enjoyable and lovable, paranoid accountant suckered into the scheme by the ever-fabulous Nathan Lane. Lovely singing voices all around, naturally.

  4. Male Stars Perfect 5.0
  5. Female Stars Perfect 5.0
  6. Female Costars Perfect 5.0
  7. Male Costars Perfect 5.0

When it comes time to put on their play, who appears as the commander of the singing ‘hotsy totsy Nazi’s’? Why, a bleach blonde John Barrowman of all people! (Probably best known as Cpt. Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and Torchwood) His dashing good looks, blindingly white smile and super-campy attitude along with a bit of flighty dancing and some fantastic singing really steal the scene! Will Ferrel also puts in an appearance as Franz Leibkin, the crazy pigeon-keeping neo-nazi who just wants people to see the kinder side of his beloved Fuhrer. Amazing all around

  8. Perfect 5.0

Is definitly a movie, but feels comfortingly like you’re watching it on stage.

  9. Direction Perfect 5.0
  10. Play Perfect 5.0
  11. Music Perfect 5.0

Truly amazing. A Mel Brooks production through and through!

  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0
  13. Content
  14. Risqué 1.9

Mild sexual content. Some humurous ‘dirty talk’. Nathan Lane’s character raises money for his plays by sleeping with all the ‘little old ladies’ of the town. We are given the impression that two characters have gone off to have sex.

  15. Sex Titillating 2.3
  16. Violence Gentle 1.0
  17. Rudeness Salty 2.3

    I think there’s a grand total of 3 bad words…

  18. Fantasy 4.7
  19. Circumstantial Fantasy 4.7
  20. Biological Fantasy 4.7
  21. Physical Fantasy 4.7
