   OK 2.5

   These movies are terrible, yet I still love them. This one is just as much, if not, even more fun than the 4th. The deaths in this one, however…. are… suspenseful with no incredible outcome. The lead-up to the deaths are very suspenseful, some more than others, but they all seem to end in a completely different way. Still clever, though. My favorite has to be the gymnastics scene. I swear to god, that had me laughing until it hurt. And that’s another plus about this movie. They’ve FINALLY understood how stupid and even funny these unrealistic deaths are, so some are actually pretty funny (that’s not so say I didn’t cringe at all). Also, the gore effects have improved a bit from the 4th movie. Not much, but just a bit.
   Another part of this movie I loved was the 3D. You get what you expect. Poles impaling people coming out of the screen. Blood flying in your face. All the good stuff. I have to admit, I even flinched once or twice. And the opening title scene? AWESOME use of 3D. 3D technology was made for movies like this. So please, pay the extra cash for the extra dimension.
   The reason I’m giving this a 2.5 is because, let’s face it, it’s a terrible movie. I just happened to have a really great time with it. Critics will hate it, audiences will love it. I hope there will be a 6 and 7. And one last thing, embrace yourself for one HELL of a twist ending!

   Pretty Bad 1.5

   Acting is terrible. Blank expressions, and everything. David Koechner and P.J. Byrne were surprisingly good, though.
