  1. Quality
  2. Great 4.0

Sherlock and Watson kick-ass in a great action thriller that infuses an old English tradition with modern movie stunts such as quasi martial arts, an odd-couple like bromance, a 007-like ability to luckily outsmart bad-guys, and a no nonsense pace. Some say it is a bit unfaithful to the traditional Holmes, but others say this is what Holmes was meant to be all along. I’m with the latter. This movie is lots of fun – enjoy!

  3. Great 4.0

Downey and Law were perfectly cast for this! Downey with his sarcastic humor believably draws forth annoyance from Law’s straighter-character. Law, on the other hand melts old English stuffiness with a wild side which Law lets out with an almost reluctance. Although the chemistry with Downey and McAdams wasn’t quite as strong as with Law, she makes a fine addition… the 3rd muscateer.

  4. Male Stars Great 4.0
  5. Female Stars Great 4.0
  6. Female Costars Great 4.0
  7. Male Costars Great 4.0
  8. Great 4.0

Guy Ritchie has a sequel making recipe with Holmes. It took his style of production to really light a new fire under the Holmes tradition. I’m looking forward to more.

Yep, I call ’em as I see ’em, and try not to give nihilism extra credit just because it seems so heavy.
