Really Great 4.5
I really enjoyed this movie. The comedy and action was perfectly balanced, and the story was completely original.

A fantastic cast. of some actors I’ve never heard of. Nicolas Cage, for the first time, was actually my favorite in the movie. Usually I hate Cage with his voice and bad movies, but here, I really wanted to see more and more of him. Also, Cloe Moretx was the ideal Hit-Girl, with her swearing and… well… Kicking Ass!!

The way the film is cut looks great. Also, the soundtrack of borrowed music really sets the mood for the scene, whether it be funny or action-oriented.

I don’t know. It would have a LOT of expectations to fulfill. And considering most super sequels are better than their super predecessors and Mark Millar is writing a sequel to the comic, a sequel seems likely. I guess we’ll have to see how strong of a life it has on DVD. |
