  1. Quality
  2. Perfect 5.0

John Carpenter’s horror film masterpiece has been celebrated as one of the most successful independent film of all time and has proven to be one of the most terrifying and suspenseful films in cimematic history. The film doesn’t rely on cheap scares and lots of blood and gore to tell a compelling and very engaging story. This film spawned numerous sequels, spoofs, and flat out knock offs that ran throughout a majority of the 1980’s.

The film tells the story of Michael Myers(no, not the Austin Powers guy). Myers killed his older sister at age 6 and 15 years later broke out of the mental hospital to kill his younger sister. The only one who can stop him is his psychiatrist, Dr. Samuel Loomis(named after a character in Hitchcock’s “Psycho”). He picks off numerous teenagers one by one only to get to his sister and the film just keeps you at the edge of your seat with its brilliant scare tactics.

“Halloween” is a prime example of horror at its best and is a film that has stood the test of time. One of the greatest films ever made and one you must see before you die.

  3. Perfect 5.0

The acting is very good. Jamie Lee Curtis gave her feature film debut as Laurie Strode and she proved to be very impressive on her first outing. Donald Pleasance is the only big name actor in the film and gives the best performance and delivers some of the movie’s most memorable and well executed lines. The rest of the cast is very good considering they were all unknown.

Not creative? I’m sorry, but are you crazy? This is one of the most original films ever.
