Really Great 4.5
An epic tale of two brothers who were raised in a strict Presbyterian household in post WW1 Montana. This story contrasts the straight and true Norman with his wild brother Paul. The story is rich and diverse – full of adventure, drama, love, hope, fear, loss, and happiness. Combining the engaging story with the stunning beauty of Montana makes for a movie you won’t soon forget, and is certainly worthy of its Oscars.

Great 4.0
Young Brad Pitt and Craig Sheffer are the masterful mainstays of this film, with a fine showing from Tom Skerritt as the strict reverend dad, and Emily Lloyd as the demure with a Montana edge Jessie.

Regarding BrianSez’s Review I seem to recall that his first scene was standing in the middle of a trout stream bathed in golden sunlight. So Golden Brad appears and these girls in front of me start squealing and giggling like, well, like girls who were just getting their first good look at Brad Pitt. That’s when I knew we had a major new star on our hands. |
