   Perfect 5.0

   Holy crap, this is by far the funniest movie of the year – and one of the funniest of all time. It is weird, funny, over the top and exactly what I was hoping a movie about a lost night in vegas would be. The cast is not one that I would have ever put together, but it works unbelievably well. Its a very relatable movie and if you’ve ever had a drunken night in Vegas you will laugh your ass off. I’ve never done anything quite so extreme, but man do I know that feeling when you wake up and you’re just not quite sure what happened.

   The movie is insanely quotable and will stand the test of time just like Old School and Animal House. The adventures from the night before are VERY over the top, but the day after and how they handle everything is very grounded and real. Great story, great cast, fun summer flick that will actually make you want to get messed up and wander around in Vegas. NEVER do that, however, because it will NOT end up as well as this one did. . . . . even though much of this didn’t end up well. . . .anyway you get my point. If you loved Old School, go see this flick. If you just thought Old School was okay, go see this flick anyway.

4. Acting

   Really Great 4.5

   I was blown away by Zach Galififnanciakdoafindas. Whenever he has been in movies before, they try to make him the funny chubby sidekick and it never really works. In this movie they let him be himself and it works so freakin well. If you’ve ever seen his standup, then you’ll know how he is in this movie. I want to grow a damn beard and be Alan. I want to be that weird, awkward, creepy, funny dude that everyone is going to remember once he’s gone.

   Brad Cooper and Ed Helms were hilarious as well. Brad Cooper could have been much funnier, but his character didn’t really go that direction. So it wasn’t his ability, but the part that really kept him from being more. If you want to see Brad Cooper at his funniest, watch the opening scene of The Rocker. Ed Helms is a great straight man. The guy that has been broken by his wife and changed into something he really isn’t and learns that he is not that guy through this great adventure.

   The cameos in this film were fantastic. They used people really well for the roles. Heather Graham as the stripper with the heart of gold, for example, was great with her just showing up. She didn’t even really have to do anything and we bought it. Mike Tyson was. . . . Mike Tyson. Not an actor by any means but a figure of power just like we needed for the story. Ken Jeong is always funny, especially when he is all over the damn place and yelling a lot.

    Great comedy and well directed by a comedy pro. Todd Phillips knows how to shoot a joke and get the funniest parts on film. The actors really were able to put their best foot forward and get a great movie out of it.

    The script is great and the dialogue is fantastic. Zach Galfinskhaceniao is again the show stealer here. His speech about being a one man wolf pack is hilarious and he’s got those throughout the adventure. Very, very funny stuff.

    Very, very dirty movie. Lots of cussing and filth, but surprisingly little nudity. And the nudity that is there isn’t really too sexual. Mostly its just dirty jokes and cussing until the credits. The pictures from the night that the flip through are the dirtiest visuals you’ll see.

    Yeah, this stuff isn’t going to happen. There are lots of things that you just realistically could not get away with in Vegas. Lots of stuff is very possible and could easily happen, but there is no way you’re getting into Mike Tyson’s house to steal his tiger. They do their best to build the story to make it believeable, and it is very close. Just a few things take it over the top.
