No one ever mistook me for a fan of Abba, nor am I the correct gender to crave a big fat musical set in Greece. Still, I have to admit that this ideal date movie is loads of fun. A great cast, terrific songs, idyllic settings, and a surprisingly engaging story make this pop confection worth see… |

This long movie is no longer than the smash stage show it brings to the Silver Screen. It just feels like it. Clint Eastwood apparently couldn’t come up with a way to transform the show for the screen, with middling results. I can’t think of a way either, but that doesn’t change the underwhelm…

Intrigued by a cast that included Rob Riggle, Missi Pyle, and Carmen Elektra, I gave Frank Meli’s Dragula a watch. It was a quirky but well done movie that spruces up the same-old coming of age theme with a Broadway flashiness and humor that you’ll enjoy. |

I finally did it; I watched a Barbara Streisand classic. I’m not normally a fan of old school musicals, but the Bronx beauty was mesmerizing; the classic charm, humor, and blow ‘em away voice kept me hooked. |
