  1. Quality
  2. Perfect 5.0

LExi Alexander’s debut film, “Green Street hooligans”, is a revelation. Starting off with a bit of grip from the very beginning, it eventually tightens thr grip to a point of suffocation…meaning that it rarely lets up for air. A Gritty film starring Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam (a name eventually everyone will come to know), it is a realistic tale of the brutality of the real world, drawing amazing comparisons between the cutthroat world of the powerful with the take no prisoners land of the Football hooliganism.

  3. Great 4.0

Elijah wood rarely diappoints, even doing a fantastic job in films that other actors would choose not to even bother and just phone it in. Charlie Hunnam is a megastar waiting to happen. I remember seeing him originally in the TV show “undeclared” and thinking he was a star in the making, but his future iconic role as Pete Dunham is one for the books. Claire Forlani does a great job with what she is given but really only serves as the reason that Elijah Wood ends up overseas. The rest of the cast shines as much as they can but are simply outdone by the two leads.

  4. Male Stars Perfect 5.0

Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam…they do a terrific job wqith their roles, truly sculpting them into inconic characters and helping drive this film into the guaranteed Cult Classic that the film is arguably already becoming.

  5. Female Stars Very Good 3.5

Claire Forlani is the principal femalerole, as this is a very male driven film, but she does what she can. Forlani has taken flack for doing roles for paychecks ( ahem “The Medallion”) but in this one she brings a little bit of credibility back as Elijah Wood’s sister who moved overseas after their mother died.

  6. Female Costars Very Good 3.5

There is not much to speak of in terms of female costars, other than the occasional bit part here and there.

  7. Male Costars Perfect 5.0

This is a man’s film that women like, featuring a liberal amount of male costars. Most of them are seen in the background but still hapopen to do an amazing job with the roles they are given. I really felt as if everyone involved in this movie wnated it to be something special because it seems as if everyone wants to give the movie 100% all of the way through. It’s hard to pinpoint small performances as standing atop others in a movie like this, but you won’t see a terrible job done by anyone in the cast.

  8. Perfect 5.0

I give this a 5 star review for production. Staring from the writing to the direction to the performances by the actors, everything appears to be done top notch in accordance with what the film wanted to be and needed to be. This is a dirty, gritty, grimy movie, full of violence and uncertainties, filmed in the dreary landscape of Great Britain…and it shows. There isn’t a single fault i could find in the way this film was sculpted.

  9. Direction Perfect 5.0

Lexi alexander has done in one filmm what people aim to do for entire careers. She took a simple idea with a convoluted premise and turned in into gold. She utilizes a handheld approach more often than not, at least I would say, and it gives the film a personable feel that I really enjoyed. The film felt visceral and close, which brought a level of fearlessness to the filmmaking that I found to make this film stand high above a lot of other efforts.

  10. Play Perfect 5.0

This is a cleverly written tale featuring lots of dialogue that feels and sounds real. If you have trouble distinguishing through thick accents however, then this may not be the movie for you. This is a real movie featuring real performances and real dialogue, making the movie feel as if it is happening not in the movie world, but in a genuine one. There is a lot of English slang terminology that may fly over people’s heads, but that’s all part of what makes the movie what it is.

  11. Music Perfect 5.0

The songs in this movie ( a little bit few and far between actually) are well done and original for the most part, at least from what I’ve seen. They fit the movie the way intended and achieve the goal of music in a movie…it all becomes part of the story, part of the tale being told, part of the moment. If the music stood out too much it wouldn’t feel right, and this only seeks to heighten the atmophere..doing so quite well.

  12. Visuals Perfect 5.0
  13. Content
  14. Sordid 3.1

While is no real sex in the movie, there are a lot of terms coming from the English slang that are definitely not for young ears and will really leave you noticing how foul mouthed people can be. There is a lot of violence (it is about hooliganism after all) that is quite brutal and punishing to watch. There is blood, broken bones, and even death in a couple of places.

  15. Sex Titillating 1.7

there is anot a lot fo sex in this movie, nor nudity.

  16. Violence Savage 4.5

This is a very very violent film, as stated above. But that is the point, to pull at your heart, tug at your brain, and make you feel every bit of the pain and siffering that they feel as well. Violence can be successful or failed depending on the movie, and this is successful violence done nearly perfectly.

  17. Rudeness Profane 3.0

There is anot a lot to write about here other than to say that this is a movie about people that survive by being rude and obnoxious, fight violently, speak violently, etc.

  18. Glib 1.9

there are slight elements to this film that are’nt necessarily 100% accurate with the real world, but this is a fictional tale so liberties can be taken. For the most part this is a movie taking place in a very real world, devoid of many of the trappings of the fantasy that a lot of other movies find themselves fighting to avoid.

  19. Circumstantial Glib 1.9
  20. Biological Glib 1.9
  21. Physical Glib 1.9
