  1. Quality
  2. OK 2.5

See this movie for the novelty-action, not the plot. If you can get past a plot/premise with lots of holes in it (or you are a teenager), you’ll have a good time. Young Hayden Christensen does a decent job playing the young guy irresponsibly using his power as a Jumper to get ahead. Samuel Jackson plays the nemesis member of a group of ‘paladins’ sworn to kill any Jumpers. Of course, there’s got to be a girl in the story, but Rachel Bilson didn’t do anything memorable in this flick. Instead, I wished they would have decided to use Diane Lane and/or Michael Rooker in their roles as parents — but there was precious little of them. Probably the most enjoyable things in this movie for me were the action scenes and the varying geographies.

I did like the visuals associated with the ‘Jumping’ around the world. Some pretty cool scenes.
