Barely OK 2.0
Occasionally succeeds on the funny front based on Eddie Murphy’s multi-character talents, but never really gives the big laughs.
-
OK 2.5
Unfortunately, dark overtones and cheap jokes may leave a bad taste in your mouth (even one of the character’s labels a reference as racist).
-
Male Stars OK 2.5
Eddie Murphy has the physical part down and does the multiple characters well, but needed to punch up the laughs.
-
Female Stars OK 2.5
The beautiful Thandie Newton has great presence and facial gestures.

Female Costars OK 2.5

OK 2.5
The plot emits several elements and themes at the audience, but never really takes the time to really (excuse the pun) flesh things out. Great makeup work from Rick Baker (check the turnstile scene at the water park).

Horrid 3.7
The physical abuse of Norbit is definitely not a joke, but f After seeing the “Flashdance†water dump homage at the end, you’ll probably feel like you have to wash yourself off after this debacle.

Sex Lewd 3.7

Violence Savage 3.7

Rudeness Nasty 3.7

Surreal 2.5
Filmmakers attempt to compensate for some potentially disturbing material by creating cartoonish, over-the-top physical comedy.
