Really Great 4.5
Few movies get me in to true ‘Texas immersion mode’, and Hell or High Water is one of them. Jeff Bridges is really great as a grisled and almost geriatric Texas Ranger in pursuit of Chris Pine and Ben Foster. The movie is outfitted with humor that those who appreciate Texas will love, and in general things are dripping with southwest Americana. The Rangers vs. Robbers story is a great one as well, pitting ‘crime with a cause’ vs. vigilantes with long rifles. Loved it.
