   Very Good 3.5

   Unlike most prequels, Rogue One does a very good job with contributing to the history of the rebel alliance vs. the empire. A great cast and an easy to follow war story makes for some stellar (pun intended) entertainment. At first the homage to traditional Star Wars ’isms was sparse, but the film redeems itself near the end. I think that this is what we have in store for upcoming installments – tangential stories focusing on specific characters or events. If Rogue One is any indication, they will be entertaining enough to overlook the fact that the main story has already been told.
