Great 4.0
A big entrance to the summer blockbuster season, Godzilla continues to wow the masses after all these years. Director Gareth Edwards does a good job of holding the suspense during the early part of the movie, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Cranston lay on the drama. As the mayhem ensued and the creatures took over the big screen, I began to wonder why there were people involved at all. They didn’t make much of a difference except to help you understand just how tiny we are among the giants. Great action, decent as a thriller, and a fine job of building up the suspense early on. See this on the big screen – I don’t think it will hold up well in-home or on a plane.

Very Good 3.5
I kept thinking Cranston looked odd with hair. It will be a few years before he shakes off ‘Breaking Bad’. Other than that, very good acting all around.
