   OK 2.5

   Meh – This could have been much better. Unlike other critics, I don’t fault the retread attempt, but the execution was pretty uninspiring. Spidey flys around and kicks-butt, and you get to learn more about his character – but the story was overly cheesy and the plot-line contrived. Enjoy the bad-guy bashing, but don’t expect anything of the caliber of Dark Night Rises.

4. Acting

   Good 3.0

   Andrew Garfield doesn’t seem polished enough for Spidey, and Emma Stone never has really done it for me – so I guess I’m a bit negatively biased with this cast. On the bright side, there were appearances from Sally Field, Jaimie Foxx was decent, and Dane DeHann was actually really good!
