   Not a bad movie, but takes long breaks from being funny to get the message across.

   Steve Carrell is the highlight of the film by far. He carries the absurdity of the plot on his shoulders with no trouble. Lauren Graham is great as his wife, but the remaining characters seem like they are only there to setup punchlines.

    This film had thee biggest budget for a comedy ever and it shows. The sheer volume of special effects and training needed for the real animals used in this film must have been astronomical. But the special effects never take away from the film as a whole.

    A good clean movie to watch with the family. No real violence, no vulgar language, and no sexual references whatsoever. These things are not missed either, as the story moves along as believable as it can be with them.
