  1. Quality
  2. Good 3.0

A new twist on Jack serves as the vehicle to kick in the 3D action for the family. Unlike movies like ‘Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunders’, Jack stays a little truer to its fairly-tale roots, including a love story where the humble Jack goes for the seemingly out of reach princess. Within the context of a family movie, Jack serves up non-stop entertainment, and the array of screen notables was impressive. Good fun will be had.

  3. Good 3.0

Nicholas Hoult does a decent job as the boy turned hero Jack, and he pairs well with the pretty and feisty Elianor Tomlinson – who is no slouch herself.

As for the supporting crew, the performances from Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci were top notch considering the family film, and I was also impressed with Ian McShane as the wise king.

Oh, and there were the giants; all of them appropriately oafish and mean.
