OK 2.5
We’ve come to expect most caper films to be filled with twists and tension, and Man on a Ledge is a halfway decent attempt at that. It feels like a patchwork quilt of story-lines and twists which will keep you interested but you won’t be blown away.

Good 3.0
An impressive cast to be sure, but I’m not sure they all lived up to their potential:
Sam Worthington, the main character, was stoic as usual, but could not manage to contain his Aussie accent despite needing to play an ex-Cop from Brooklyn
Elizabeth Banks: I like her rough edged character. I think she held up better than Sam.
Jamie Bell (TinTin, Flags of our fathers, Billy Elliot) does great as Sam’s brother and partner in crime; and let’s talk about Genesis Rodriguez, his extremely hot girlfriend and fellow crime buddy.
Kyra Sedgwick doesn’t have a huge role, but her on-screen, on-purpose annoyingness was really well done.
Ed Burns was good as the lead cop antagonist to Elizabeth Banks
Ed Harris: really great as the sinister millionaire
Anthony Mackey and Titus Welliver (Sons of Anarchy, Touch, Grimm) – two recognizable and solid actors

OK 2.5
This film felt like the rookie attempt that it was. The film is not a dud and is hopefully something that Asger Leth and Pablo Fenjves can build upon.
