OK 2.5
They don’t make war movies like this any more: primadonna stars rendering glamorous portrayals of gentlemanly air-boys, and acting that would be considered as being over the top. Battle of Britain is all of that, and I loved it. Marvelous old planes, awesome old aerial shots of the English countryside and cover, and an intriguing recounting of how radar was first put to good use. The movie was entertaining, but dragged on a bit ironically during many the areal fight scenes during the main battle.

Good 3.0
Old school greats like Michael Caine, Harry Andrews, and Trevor Howard.. no, I didn’t remember them all by name, but they are instantly recognizable; albeit Michael Caine mostly remained hidden behind a helmet and goggles.

OK 2.5
My rating is perhaps a bit hard for a movie made in ‘69, but I wasn’t impressed with the transitions between scenes, which ended up being hard to follow
