Perfect 5.0
Just non-stop pure entertainment in the form of spy action and thrills. The latest Bourne installment expands to a new spy, Aaron Cross adeptly played by Jeremy Renner, who more than sufficiently fills the vacancy left by Matt Damon, almost to the point of not missing him at all. The action was first rate, the suspense was non-stop, and even the latest extension of the story left little to be desired. Even the “bad guys†were great, and the love interest in the form of Rachel Weisz was hot enough for Treadstone’s best. I’m not too embarrassed to admit that I got goosebumps towards the end and left the theater excited and 100% pleased.

Really Great 4.5
Jeremy Renner was great. Filled Matt’s shoes with no problem at all. Commanding most of the time, and sympathy inducing vulnerability at others, but not too much. Just what you want in your spy.
Rachel Weisz, unlike most women in these types of films is actually unbelievably tough. Pretty enough to be just a decoration, but much more character. Excellent pick.
Edward Norton, he’s just about the most believable CIA commander in Hollywood. Sufficiently stressed out without being portrayed as maniacal
Scott Glenn – always works well as a member of the executive staff of whatever
Stacey Keach – same goes for him, and executive tough guy
