  1. Quality
  2. Really Great 4.5

What nominally is a tale of an alcoholic artist who was kept alive and brought to his potential by his wife, is so much more special by over the top acting. Ed Harris and Marcia Gay Harden transform a simple story to an expose of Jackson Pollock’s mind, and the history of NY art community that have him to thank for much of their prominence today.

  3. Perfect 5.0

Marcia Gay Harden got an Oscar, but Ed Harris was equally deserving. A perfect rendition of a deeply complex mind, with only his painting as an outlet for his expression. Of course, Marcia was practically flawless as his supporting but take-no-crap wife. Other strong talent in this film such as Amy Madigan as the famous Peggy Guggenheim and Jeffrey Tambor as the art fan-boy Clem Greenberg. Snippets of Val Kimer can be caught – but he didn’t play much of a role.

  4. Male Stars Perfect 5.0
  5. Female Stars Perfect 5.0
  6. Female Costars Perfect 5.0
  7. Male Costars Perfect 5.0

A great topic enacted by top notch talent with directing that kept the focus on what mattered.
