  1. Quality
  2. Barely OK 2.0

“Beady eyed man-boy” Jason Bateman (an accurate description of him used in the movie) doesn’t have the cohones to make something happen with Jennifer Anistorn, so instead, when she decides to have a baby on her own he switches sperm with her donor when he’s drunk. Years later, confronted with his son, he lets things drag on again until the predictable ending kicks in. Ugh. Not sure why I stuck this one out.

  3. OK 2.5

Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston play a psychoanalyzing pair of friends. Jason Bateman only barely fits that role and is no comparison to Jeff Goldblum who is made for it, yet inexplicably plays a minor role. Same as Juliette Lewis. Wish there were more of Jeff and Julie than Jennifer and Jason. Patrick Wilson is Ok as the the pretty donor man. Nevertheless, the Jason and Jennifer pair do manage to pull it off simply because these two can do romantic comedies with there eyes closed.

Regarding BrianSez’s Review
Sounds like the right call. I especially appreciate the Jason Bateman/Jeff Goldblum compare.
