Very Good 3.5
Poor Jake Gyllenhaal (“Joeâ€) finds himself living with his recently deceased fiancee’s parents (Dustim Hoffman and Susan Sarandon). Somehow, this tragic circumstance is turned in to something quirkily humorous and heartwarming as Joe needs to figure out what to do with his life. Of course, he meets cute and sassy Ellen Pompeo (“Bertieâ€), and things get interesting. Love the range of these top quality actors, from witty back and forth to intense drama – something for everyone.

Great 4.0
Jake Gyllenhaal and Ellen Pompeo have all star chemistry and know how to pour it on thick. Of course, so do Dustin Hoffman and Susan Sarandon – they are masters at the trade and Jake and Ellen keep up. Holly Hunter has a minor role, but is nevertheless worth watching.

Very Good 3.5
Its all about the drama. Tasteful and not overly done, with a healthy dose of humor. Oh, and a killer soundtrack.
