Barely OK 2.0
Ugh. This was torturous tale about a high-octane dad (Downey Jr) who gets slammed with misfortune and is desperate enough to make it home to his expectant wife, that he decides to travel with his biggest plague (Galifianakis) in order to get there. Such potential wasted. The resulting story is so, um, stupid that all the lol-generation attempts mostly fall flat. If it weren’t for my persistent hope that Robert Downey and Zach Galifianakis could pull something out of a hat together, I would have stopped this movie mid-viewing.

Good 3.0
I love both Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis. This could have been a LOL dream team if it weren’t for the overly silly writing. So, I can’t slam them. Just their decision to be in this film.

Regarding BigdaddyDave’s Review As to Planes, Trains & Automobiles, classic indeed. One of us needs to review it. |
