Good 3.0
Funny times and, well, not so funny times in this movie that centers around a comedian who learns of his terminal illness. At times, LOL moments get you going, but at other times, it seems the producers left too many scenes in… In the end, the movie is engaging and fun, and if you can weather the slow spots, you’ll be rewarded with lots of laughs and a meaningful tale.

Very Good 3.5
Adam Sandler displays a heck of a wide range in FP. Of course, this movie features comedians, and he’s a natural stand-up. Equally adept at being the funny guy and the serious guy facing his own mortality Adam does a great job. Jonah Hill continues to impress as the protégé – also displaying great range as a serious helper and a downright funny dude. Seth Rogan in his tried-and-true character pleases. The surprise to me was Jason Schwartzman who has some great sarcastic rumor to add to the mix. Then there’s Leslie Mann – the pretty ex girlfriend with a great rendition of volatile female emotions. Loved Eric Bana as Leslie’s Aussie guy’s guy.

Good 3.0
This film would have been much better if several low-value-add scenes were cut. In fact, if it were more professionally edited, this movie would have earned a ‘Great’ from me.
