Really Great 4.5
LOL all the way. Even belly laughs – the true hallmark of a funny movie. Russell Brand has always made a great out-of-control persona – and GHTHG capitalizes on that. Rock Stars just arent’ that interesting unless they are doing crazy sh*t, so it was very fun watching “Aldus†be a wild man. The LOL moments more than made up for the lackluster script… How about songs called “Inside of you†and “We got the Clapâ€? Heh Heh – appeals to my juvenile sensibilities when it comes to comedies on the big screen, and if you are anything like I am – you’ll have great fun watching this.

Perfect 5.0
Russel Brand is absolutely great in his role as Aldus Snow. Such a perfect fit for a tongue-in-cheek depiction of a rock star. Jonah Hill is the perfect straight man and shows us more consistency in these comedies. P Diddy was surprisingly LOL funny as the overly-a**hole-ish record executive. But besides Aldus, my surprise pick of the cast was Colm Mealy as Aldous’ dad – loved him!

Would have been perfect if the story was more interesting. Thank goodness the cast more than made up for any deficiencies!
