Very Good 3.5
I love Katherine Keener movies, and ‘Please Give’ is no exception. This is a remarkably well written dramatic comedy that cycles through NY eccentric personalities and psychosis with ease, transporting all of us into an almost Woody Allen-like weave of inward facing stories. Take the time to visit the cast in this NY apartment building as they wait for the crotchety old neighbor to pass on. Be sure to check out Katherine’s sister Elizabeth, and also great performances by Rebecca Hall and Oliver Platt.
