  1. Quality
  2. Very Good 3.5

The president that so many love to make fun of…. W takes a not so subtle approach and reinforcing the buffoon image of George W Bush. So, what does a young man who isn’t serious about anything, parties hard, and disappoints his father? Why, go in to politics of course! The movie is actually quite fascinating. Somehow the upbringing, the Texas lifestyle, the Narcissism, and Rumsfeld’s plan for world domination – it all makes sense.

  3. Good 3.0

In this star-studded film, by in large, most of the actors tried too hard to be true to the character they were portraying – It didn’t come across naturally. Fortunately, the biggest exception was Josh Brolin, who does a marvelous job as GWB. Richard Dreyfuss was great as Dick Cheney. I also liked James Cromwell as GWD’s dad George Herbert and Elizabeth Banks as Laura. Could have seen more of Stacey Keach as GWB’s preacher.

  4. Male Stars Good 3.0
  5. Female Stars Good 3.0
  6. Female Costars Good 3.0
  7. Male Costars Good 3.0
  8. Great 4.0

Director Oliver Stone has a fantastic blend of semi-subtle sarcasm (well, except for the background track of Robin Hood and the dream sequences of George as a baseball star) and a remarkable transform from comedy to an almost tragic drama. It is this transform from what most expected to be a simple comedy that makes W a great movie.
