Great 4.0
V makes a rollicking good time of getting back at the bad man – an evil controlling government inBritain’s future. You instantly side with V (Hugo Weaving) and his pretty sidekick Evey (Natalie Portman), who get in to a cat and mouse with the law – who is often just shy of stumbling upon their prey. I found this movie to be a great blend of fantasy, political statement, and a good old fashioned thriller with macabre but extremely entertaining twists that keep you on your toes and glued to the screen.

Very Good 3.5
Despite not ever seeing his face, Hugo Weaving carries himself well, and has a deep and calming voice that delivers an eloquent stream of words that spellbinds rather than annoys. Natalie Portman’s role is fairly typical of the gorgeous woman accomplice, but manages to one-up the rest of the crowd by showing a great range of acting through the wild script.

Great 4.0
A unique combination of thriller, action, who-done-it, and intriguing back-story keeps you guessing at just what might happen next. The backdrop of a not quite conceivable future still manages to deliver its message that the people will always prevail.
