2. Summary

   Barely OK 2.0

   This film is about the fall of human kind and the rise of Vampirism. The entire world is ran by vampires and they are running low on their food sources. The humans are dying off and they have to try and find an alternate way to survive, so that the human kind can replenish themselves. Edward Dalton is scientist, trying to find an alternate food source for his kind and is sympathetic for the human race.

   This film might be a little too intense for children, but for me, I thought that it lacked something.

4. Acting

   Barely OK 2.0

   Willem Defoe plays Lionel ‘Elvis’ Cormac, a Vamp turned human, after an odd yet affective accident. Unfortunately, i wouldn’t count this as one of Willem’s best performances. I thought that his character would’ve suited him more if role had a little more “meaning”. Ethan Hawk plays Edward Dalton, his role as a scared scientist that goes against his people to save the human race. As far as some of the other characters are involved, I felt that some were taken away too soon, and some didn’t get taken soon enough. But how do you really know who to kill off and who to keep going in the film? You would hope that the writers would.

    OK 2.5

    Dark, cold, and new aged. Okay, that’s how vampires have to live considering their condition and all, but you would think that they would try to make the film a little more worldly FOR the existing race. The film itself just didn’t sit well with me. I felt that there was a lot missing, it was too short.

    Sordid 3.1

    Crazy Vampires, that because of the food sources running low, they actually change in appearance and temper. Vamps feeding on Vamps, People in incubators, I mean, there is some blood and SOME form of gore, but not anything that makes me want to feel like I’m watching a horror movie, more like an updated drama.

    Vampires Taking over the world, people dying out, vampires turning cannibalistic. That’s just too FAR-FETCHED!
