Really Great 4.5
While it doesn’t live up to the greatness of the first film(which was a tough act to follow), Back to the Future Part II is still remains one of the most beloved sequels ever and while it isn’t my favorite of the trilogy, it still makes an enjoyable fun adventurous thrillride. Filled with much of the same funny dialogue, excellent special effects, and inventiveness that made the first film such a classic. However, while it shares many of the same traits, it loses some of the charm that made the first film so fun.
The film picks up where the last film left off as Doc takes Marty and girlfriend Jennifer to the future in order to keep their kids from getting arrested. I’m not going to tell you the rest of the plot for one reason: This film has one of the most hard to explain plots ever. It would be very hard for me to explain this science filled plot. While that isn’t exactly a week point, you would still have to watch and listen carefully as Doc explains in to Marty. Also, the film introduces a trait about Marty that wasn’t even developed in the first film. The film shows that Marty doesn’t like to be called a chicken and it always gets him into trouble.
While this film doesn’t live up to the original, it is still one of my favorite films and one of the funnest sequels ever. If you’re a fan of the franchise, definitely check this one out!

Really Great 4.5
The acting is excellent as usual. Michael J. Fox brings the same charisma he brought to the role of Marty in the first film and Christopher Lloyd is still the hilarious Doc we all know and love. In my review of the first film, I talked about Thomas Wilson as Biff Tannen. Well, in this film, he’s a total dictator and has more power than ever before. He proves to be one of the funniest and most interesting villains in film history.
