  1. Quality
  2. Really Great 4.5

This film is about Louise and Ian. Louise is a lawyer that is planning on spending a weekend with her husband. When Louise comes home to surprise Ian, she sees flowers all over the house and thinks that its for her, that he was trying to surprise her at the same time. Ian sets the flowers in place and decided to write Louise a letter telling her that he is leaving, but louise came in just as he was writing it. As soon as Ian tells her that he is leaving her for another woman, she flips out. she knocks him out and duct tapes him to a chair, then later to a toilet, and tries to get him to fall in love with her again. She meets Sara, a 24 year old beauty, and she talks to her calmly trying not to give anything away. She send Sara on her way giving her false hope and returns to her captive husband. She throws in everything she’s got, videos, memories, and tries all that she can; he wasn’t budging. Louise goes out to the store and then the house gets robbed by the gardener. While Ian is taped to the toilet, the thief beats him up and ridicules him for being in his state and then continues ransacking the house. Louise comes home and is then taken captive and thrown into the bathroom with Ian. Then later Sara comes back and she is then taken captive as well. After hours of captivity, they come to learn some things about each other, and lets just say that one comes out of this sadder than before and the other two are better because of the experience.

  3. Great 4.0

Louise is played by the ever funny and ever clever Meg Ryan. She played the jealous and desperate wife very well and was funny every step of the way. She made the character her own and I was very convinced by her performance. She was crazy and love struck and i loved her character very much. Ian is played by Timothy Hutton, he was very funny and he made me laugh throughout the film, except for whenever there was a scene where there was some sadness or seriousness. There aren’t many of those, so no worries, but this is a movie about a married couple. Sara is played by Kristen Bell, she’s hot and her character was played very well. Justin Long makes an appearence as the thief, Todd, and his character was definitely that of a thief and jerk. Surprisingly, I was convinced.

  4. Male Stars Great 4.0
  5. Female Stars Great 4.0
  6. Female Costars Great 4.0
  7. Male Costars Great 4.0
  8. Great 4.0

The set was just the house, but it really made the story. The bathroom and the livingroom were the main focus because, of course, our main characters were there most of the time. The clarity of the film helped the viewer really see, feel, and understand the characters and the plot throughout. If you are a woman, I’m sure that you would’ve or have thought to do this to your boyfriend/husband. Guys, beware, these are thoughts that run through just about any woman’s mind for their cheating men. I, as a woman, thought that it was a cool thought, but as a fellow human being, that does kinda suck for the guy. The story was just as good as the idea. It’s not an original thought (according to every other women on the planet) but it certainly an original thought for a flick.

  9. Direction Great 4.0
  10. Play Great 4.0
  11. Music Great 4.0
  12. Visuals Great 4.0
  13. Content
  14. Risqué 1.8

As far as edge is concerned, well, with Todd feeling up on an unconscience Louise and then punching Ian mulitple times and of course the whole Ian being taped to a toilet thing, this is pretty much on the mild side of things. The flick does pretty much keep you on your toes, only because you can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next. Generally, a great flick for those who want ideas and for those who don’t mind a little bit of irony in a film.

  15. Sex Innocent 1.5
  16. Violence Fierce 1.6
  17. Rudeness Salty 2.4
  18. Natural 1.0

This film is what just about every girl that has a cheating man would want to do. I know that if some of you ladies were to find out that your man was doing wrong you would either beat them to a pulp, or, if you were desperate enough, strap them to a toilet and convince them to love you again (especially after 10+ years). But, the whole being robbed thing is pretty far fetched. I would say that it would be a pretty funny coincidence, but I can’t see that really happening. But in case that actually does happen, careful girls for you don’t know if you can survive that kind of situation.

  19. Circumstantial Natural 1.0
  20. Biological Natural 1.0
  21. Physical Natural 1.0
