Very Good 3.5
A consistently entertaining crime/thriller set in a small and cold New England town, with the ever favorite made-for-TV crime-fighter: Tom Sellek. And yes, although this movie’s made-for-TV feel is apparent, it delivers a good old fashioned crime story using interesting characters, a tried and true style and some interesting twists that will please any fan of the genre.

Very Good 3.5
I’ve always liked Tom Sellek. He does the straight-shooter shtick really well every time. The hard-drinking, honest work ethic, and ever-present women in his life are presented in a realistic way; a way that lets you believe that it could be you. As a result, you quickly think of him as a friend and root for the good guy the whole way through.

Very Good 3.5
The film lets you get to know the killer right away. When you can rely on a great detective story, coupled with interesting personalities – this strategy works well. No need to rely on a shroud of mystery to keep the audience interested. A stark and cold setting as a backdrop was a subtle way to keep you on edge.

The movie is about murders, but even they are presented in a tame way. Some obvious sexual references and scenes — but just enough to get your pulse up a little.
