Really Great 4.5
An intense movie that will raise your heartbeat and keep it there through the film. I’ve never been a smuggler — but the heart-pounding sequence at the beginning of the movie really get to me. The brutality and craziness of the Turkish prison experience dropped my jaw and kept it there for pretty much the whole film. Both surreal and very real — this film will make it so that you will never consider committing a crime in Turkey!

Great 4.0
Excellent acting by Brad Davis (Billy Hayes) and all of the supporting cast. Especially notable was Randy Quaid as the crazy Jimmy Booth and John Hurt as Maz. And lets not forget the man you love to hate: Paolo Bonacelli as Rifki.

Really Great 4.5
First class filming of an experience not likely to be easily reproduced. Just the right amount of intense acting to be believable. An intenseness that sticks with you after the movie ends. Great job!
