  1. Quality
  2. Very Good 3.5

This was such a strange film. It’s about 3 characters, with 3 completely separate lives, Jonathan Preest, Emilia, and Milo. Jonathan is trying to serve his revenge against someone who has hurt a young girl he was supposed to protect. Emilia was a director, that was basing all of her films around her suicide (which she would frequent). Milo was a young man about to get married when the engagement broke and was trying to reconnect with someone from his past. The film was dark and dreary, but it made me like it more. To be set both in a freakishly over gothic world to the present set world and be a story set at the same time of each person’s exsistance, really kept my interest.

  3. Very Good 3.5

Ryan Phillippe- Jonathan Preest – A masked vigalantee that was seeking revenge for the life of a young girl he was supposed to protect. He would wander the city trying to find the one responsible. Ryan played a mad-man masterfully!

Eva Green- Emilia – A film maker and a suicide attempter, trying to find meaning within her life and in the process tries to open the eyes of those around her. Eva played the suicidal gothic princess role well, except for the fact that she really didn’’t want to completely die, it was just for the fim.

Sam Riley- Milo – Stricken with grief after his engagement was severed, he then seeks out to find an old childhood friend to help him along. For Sam’s first motion picture, to be honest, I was pretty impressed.

Bernard Hill- David Esser – Aman searching the city for his son. For a role that had no other perpose, it actually tied in the movie very well.

  8. Great 4.0

From gothic city to present day city was amazing. The light arrangement in the film, though it isn’t “capturing” for a soundtrack, really puts you into the film. The writers really took a chance with making this film into what it was. Taking one man’s ’’world’’ and present it to light for others to understand was pretty inspiring. I loved the "other’’ world, very gothis in every sense of the word, from religon being a series of mindless drones trying to keep the government happy, to the outfits and masks. I thought that it was pretty cool.

  9. Direction Great 4.0
  10. Play Great 4.0
  11. Music Great 4.0
  12. Visuals Great 4.0
  13. Content
  14. Risqué 1.8

Pretty edgy. A woman taking pills to commit sucide without actually wanting to die and a man going to different places trying to find someone and making a rukus in the process. Not too bad. No nudity though, I even thought that was a bummer..

  15. Sex Innocent 1.0
  16. Violence Fierce 2.0
  17. Rudeness Salty 2.3
  18. Glib 2.0

Most of the movie can be interpreted as realistic, except for the gothic world parts. There were relions based on washer machine instructions and manicures, well if we can recognize one religon that based on becoming a jedi, why not those…lol! It’s an interesting flick, check it out… it might drag a little and you might feel like you’re bouncing around alittle, but it works, just pay attention.

  19. Circumstantial Glib 2.0
  20. Biological Glib 2.0
  21. Physical Glib 2.0
