OK 2.5
A pretty good love story that uses the twist of looking at what might happen if history took its course in a slightly different way. Gwyneth Paltrow (“Helen”) decides between two suiters — one who is decidedly not good for her. The movie was good enough to keep my attention, but was mostly predictable in its approach. I think the best part about the film were the decently acted characters who added color to an otherwise no surprises story.

Good 3.0
Gwyneth Paltrow could have done this part blindfolded and John Hannah — who plays a suiter was a pleasant surprise with humorous bits and a scottish accent. I also liked Jeanne Tripplehorn who plays a woman competing for the love of one of the men who does great with a snappy take no prisoners approach.

Barely OK 2.0
The “what if” scenario playing was a good and unique idea, but I don’t feel it added any value to the movie other than to provide some alternate schenes to tell the same story. The movie was otherwise fun, but perhaps too predictable.
