OK 2.5
This biographical drama delves in to the life of Edie Sedgwick, the ill-fated fashion icon of the 60’s who became Andy Warhol’s “girlfriend” and part of his famous “factory” in NYC. Before seeing this movie, I didn’t know much about Warhol and his antics — and I found myself much more interested in that than I did with Edie’s life itself. And it was interesting indeed…. Warhol comes across as someone who, in the end, is all about serving his own needs and desires and his “friends” are just a means to that end. As we learn in this movie, not everyone survives through this usary relationship intact.

Good 3.0
Sienna Miller looks a heck of a lot like Edie, and she definitely pulls her weight in this film. The acting isn’t exactly Oscar worthy— but the fact Sienna can pull of a self-centered druggie 60’s actress is very respectable. Did you think Andy Warhol was gay? Well, Guy Pearce makes it seem that way — in a Johnny Depp / ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ kind of way.

OK 2.5
As mentioned earlier — if they wanted to focus on Edie, they could have done more. As a peice on Andy – it was an interesting movie, but not an exellent focus on either of them. I liked to see the narcissistic behaviors of the 60’s and Andy and in general all the character studies held my interest. The scenes, costuming, filming, etc. were all Ok.
