  1. Quality
  2. Very Good 3.5

A genuinely touching movie that follows the life of John and Jennifer Grogan (Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston) through their dog Marley. As a comedy on its own it wouldn’t have done so well, but add in the drama and the match was well made. The story, although down to basics, kept being engaging and there were plenty of both funny and touching moments intertwined to keep you on your toes. Spoiler Alert: Major lump-in-throat ending.

  3. Great 4.0

Owen Wilson has his own brand of sarcastic humor and it is usually hard to take him seriously, but he manages to pull off a balance between comedy and heart-felt behavior that makes him quite believable. Jennifer Aniston also performs admirably. Not as funny as Owen, and instead plays more of the ‘straight man’ role in the duo. Loved Eric Dane as the obligatory permanent bachelor wing-man to Owen. Alan Arkin fits right in to the comfortable older mentor role.

  7. Male Costars Great 4.0
  8. Good 3.0

Straight forward and nothing particularly special except for the storyline itself. This was all about the story.
