  1. Quality
  2. Really Great 4.5

A neo-classic tale about the passing of youth via tragedy. Clint Eastwood directs an all star cast that follows a group of kids in a Boston neighborhood as they deal with truama that shapes how they all live in adulthood. This film focuses on the characters as much as the story itself, and you will find yourself completely engrossed in both.

  3. Really Great 4.5

You can’t get much better than the acting in this film by Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon, Marcia Harden, Laurence Fishburne, and Laura Linney. They make you forget that they didn’t grow up themselves in a working-class Beantown neighborhood. Sean and Kevin are the stand-outs though with Sean’s emotional performances and Kevin’s cool street smart believability.

  4. Male Stars Really Great 4.5
  5. Female Stars Really Great 4.5
  6. Female Costars Really Great 4.5
  7. Male Costars Really Great 4.5
  8. Really Great 4.5

Outstanding direction and production. Instead of an overly done portrayal, this film allowed you to get caught up in the environment and the characters themselves, and for 2 hours, you became part of the fabric of the south Boston neighborhood.

  9. Direction Really Great 4.5
  10. Play Really Great 4.5
  11. Music Really Great 4.5
  12. Visuals Really Great 4.5
  13. Content
  14. Risqué 2.3
  15. Sex Titillating 2.3
  16. Violence Fierce 2.3
  17. Rudeness Salty 2.3
  18. Glib 1.2
  19. Circumstantial Glib 1.5
  20. Biological Natural 1.0
  21. Physical Natural 1.0
