OK 2.5
Entirely serviceable entertainment for young boys, and those in touch with their inner boy.
Note that I saw it as an airplane movie, so it was most assuredly not the 3D version. I bet it’d be a hoot and a half in 3D. But why stop there? The movie was clearly designed with a future theme park ride in mind as much as to how it would play on the silver screen.

Good 3.0
Brendan Frasier has become an Indiana Jones for the pre-pubescent set, starting off his movies as a professor who gets himself ensnared in some geological or archeological hokum before the popcorn gets cold. He needs to watch the copious self-deprecation though. It comes across a bit hammy.
