Really Great 4.5
A great story of master counterfeiter Saolomon “Sally” Sorowitsch who is sent to a concentration camp after his luck runs out and he is caught on the outside. The survival in the camp combined with the (now forced) pursuit of crime presents a unique scenarios that produces many moral choices for the counterfeiting crew. Treated more carefully than the average camp prisoner, Sally and his crew still needed to find creative ways to survive. For Sally, it meant transitioning from always just looking out after himself, to existing in order to further something bigger than himself. Despite the fact that it was subtitled, I had no problem being glued to the film and the terrific acting, and I managed to learn about even more facets to what went on during WWII — the horrific, conniving, and heroic.
