   OK 2.5

   An entertaining movie, but nothing more. I had never read any of Hellboy comics, and felt that before I saw Hellboy 2 in theaters, I should probably see the first movie in the series. After watching this pretty lame attempt at sci-fi action, I’m not sure I want to spend the money to see HB2 in theaters. The whole time, I felt that I was watching a weird X-Men/Men In Black mashup, with effects that were no better than the MiB effects from ten years ago.

   OK 2.5

   Average at best. Other than the paranormal expert/“dad,” no one did any acting that would qualify as GOOD in this movie.

    Del Torro could’ve, and should’ve, done more and better with this movie.

    It seemed that the script was interesting, but the actors made it pretty lame.

    I liked the soundtrack, though it was very stereotypical for an action movie soundtrack.

14. Visuals Very Good 3.5

    Good, but very much reminded me of the visuals in saw in the Men In Black series, which were more than a few years ago … this movie didn’t have nearly as amazing graphics as it could have.
