Very Good 3.5
What makes Hamburger Hill worth watching is that it differentiates itself from the overly produced war movies like Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket and just tells the story of one of the more infamous battles of Vietnam in a straight-up fashion. Just a group of Infantry trying to survive from day to day. Sometimes the acting was a bit cheesey and the beginning was a bit slow, but for the most part it did a great job of conveying the craziness of what the Vietnam-era soldiers went through. If you are a war movie buff, you won’t be disappointed.
